Tips, links and graphics to support your initiative.
1) How will you promote your event?
This link takes you
to Environment Week events, but it's a good start. www.environment.gov.ab.ca/edu/eweek/2007/pubs/Promote_Green_Stop_Ideas.pdf
2) Promote your event with Mission: Sustainable logos and
images.
Download these: SMF logo

title (gif), M:S title (eps)
The thing
is, if anyone asks who's supporting your mission, it might
be nice to mention the Mission:Sustainable program. Don't
be shy about printing the Sustainable Mission Force logo
on your promotional material and referring to this website.
3) Develop a marketing plan for your Mission.
A condensed
version of the marketing plan for this big program, Mission: Sustainable
(M:S), will soon be available here. We needed a way to promote M:S
to all full-time students in Alberta.
No easy task. Was our marketing effective? How did you
learn about M:S? Send your comments
to us to help us do better with our promotions next year.
4) Make sure your media matches your message.
For example,
if you're promoting waste reduction, yet need to print
materials, consider using 100% recycled paper
made from 100% post-consumer waste. Or, go the extra
mile and
use
100%-100% Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified
paper. Learn more about FSC and certified printers at http://www.fsccanada.org/FSCPrinters.htm
5) Hosting an event?
Plan smartly to prevent pollution.

6) Evaluate your success.
Know whether or not your time
and effort was well spent. Evaluating your results makes
it a lot easier to make improvements next time. For information
